Cost Accountant

Cost Accountant Responsibilities:
- Daily and monthly accounting tasks
- Improving the reporting at the plant
- Ensuring the accuracy of the inventory responsibilities
- Assisting in creating policies and procedures to be distributed plant wide
- Assisting in detail analysis, reviewing of plant reporting and location financial data
- Supporting interim and year-end audit requirements
- Internal control activities and audit to the shop floor
- Annual and midyear budgeting process
- Weekly tracking to budget and forecast
- Std Cost and variance analysis
- Profitability Analysis, by customer and program vs Budget Prepare monthly report data for corporate and the management team
- Take the lead and coordinate the Annual Physical Inventory Inventory reconciliation
- Coordinate with various departments to process customer, supplier, and intercompany invoices
- Perform global intercompany accounting and reconciliation BOM and process routing audit
- Assist in special projects as needed
- Fixed Assets reconciliation
- Tracking the budget of Capital Expense
Cost Accountant Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 to 5 years of applicable experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Experience with PLEX, SAP, Oracle, or any ERP
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team and meet deadlines
- Capable of taking on new, challenging tasks with limited guidance
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Highly flexible
- Ability to work and take direction from team members at all levels of the organization
