Recruiting Solutions Inc is seeking skilled and experienced Welders proficient in MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or Flux Core welding techniques. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fabricating and assembling metal components and structures according to specifications and industry standards. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality welds in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Welding Operations:

    • Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or Flux Core welding operations on various metals including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and alloys.
    • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine weld specifications, dimensions, and tolerances.
    • Set up welding equipment, select appropriate welding parameters, and ensure proper gas shielding, electrode selection, and consumable handling for each welding process.
  2. Quality Assurance:

    • Inspect welds visually and using non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as dye penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing, or ultrasonic testing to ensure weld quality and integrity.
    • Identify and rectify welding defects such as porosity, cracks, undercut, and incomplete fusion through grinding, re-welding, or other corrective actions.
    • Adhere to welding procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards to meet customer requirements and regulatory specifications.
  3. Material Preparation and Assembly:

    • Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, beveling, and chamfering as necessary to ensure proper fit-up and joint penetration.
    • Position and secure workpieces using clamps, jigs, fixtures, or welding manipulators to maintain alignment and dimensional accuracy during welding operations.
    • Perform tack welding and fit-up adjustments to align components prior to final welding, and verify dimensional accuracy using measuring tools such as calipers, squares, and levels.
  4. Equipment Maintenance:

    • Maintain welding equipment and accessories in good working condition by performing routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting as needed.
    • Replace worn or damaged welding consumables, including electrodes, filler wires, shielding gas cylinders, nozzles, and tips, to ensure optimal performance and weld quality.
    • Follow proper safety procedures for handling, storage, and disposal of welding gases, consumables, and hazardous materials.
  5. Team Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate workflow, prioritize tasks, and meet production schedules.
    • Provide technical guidance and assistance to less experienced welders, apprentices, or production workers to support their skill development and ensure consistent quality standards.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report progress, discuss challenges, and implement process improvements.
