Lead Installation Technician
Recruiting Solutions is seeking a Lead Installation Technician for a Direct Hire Opportunity with a full-service provider of audio, visual, and lighting solutions in Greenville, South Carolina! This position offers a competitive pay range of $25 to $35/hr based on experience as well as comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life! The Lead Installation Technician should have a minimum 5 years of previous employment with installation responsibilities in the AV industry and a knowledge of commercial audio-visual installations with the ability to manage a project and crew.

Lead Installation Technician Job Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty and other duties that may be assigned. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required
- Adhere to policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Take shared responsibility for accomplishing the company vision
- Work with other trades and mentoring less experienced technicians
- Project management, Site visits, Quoting, Installations of AV projects
- Read and follow AV system flow diagrams and support documentation
- Ability to install, operate and service most AV equipment and systems
- Organization of equipment and tools in the warehouse and in the install truck
Lead Installation Technician Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Valid SC Driver’s License.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the AV industry with installation responsibilities; familiarity with integrated commercial audio-visual installations is preferred.
- Advanced computer skills for Mac, PC, and networking; proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Demonstrable ability to interpret and execute Electronic CAD designs, coupled with a high standard of workmanship on cabling, lacing, soldering, crimping, and other general AV installation skills.
- Proven project management skills, including running project sites, leading teams, and overseeing the full cycle of physical installations.
- Highly self-motivated, capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a focus on accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and software issues at an advanced level, handle equipment challenges promptly and professionally.
- Willingness to accept and implement constructive feedback, work flexible hours, and travel regionally when required.
- Experience in operating power tools, lifting heavy loads, and working at heights using ladders, lifts, or scaffolding.
- Solid background in commercial audio-visual installations, including but not limited to projectors, screens, displays, wiring, cabling, computer controls, and rack-building. Ability to read architectural drawings and familiarity with commercial construction environments is essential.
- Possess technical AV certifications such as CTS, Crestron DMC-D, or a commitment to obtaining these certifications within 12 months of hire date.
- A positive, professional image, and a willingness to work beyond regular hours when necessary.
