Logistics and Materials Manager
Recruiting Solutions is seeking a Logistics and Materials Manager for a Tier 1 BMW supplier in Spartanburg, SC! Logistics and Materials Manager Responsibilities:
- Provide the best scheduling practices and procedures to support organizational needs
- Ensure that all scheduling standards are adhered to
- Provide leadership for the materials planning strategy, master production schedule, supply chain excellence and inventory control while promoting lean initiatives
- Implement value stream scheduling
- Manage periodic physical inventories or cycle accounting activities to ensure accurate financials
- Participate in the QRMP yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions
- Lead the implementation of the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) system and operational standards as outlined in the plant accountability list to achieve targeted RCR
- Lead inventory control staff to ensure accurate reporting of inventory
- Develop and maintain departmental budget
- Follow up with vendor issues
- Other duties as assigned
Logistics and Materials Manager Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of scheduling and planning production and materials
- MRP system experience
- APICS certified preferred
- Ability to work well with a team and under pressure
