Recruiting Solutions is seeking a Production Manager for a global client in the Ladson, SC area (outside of Charleston). Great opportunity in a very stable industry!
Requirements: B.S Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) with minimum 5 years experience managing employees. Detail oriented and excellent communication skills required with knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP, AutoCADD software, etc. Ability to apply engineering knowledge for equipment upgrades and repair. Ensure efficient work flow of production processes.
Job Description: Manage the entire production/assembly process and employees to ensure compliance to ISO 9001 and ATEX standards while meeting production schedules and on-time customer delivery. Work closely with QA regarding Technical Purchasing Specifications, Change Controls, Non-conformance Reports, etc., including disposition, corrective and preventive actions. Manage and prioritize production schedules based on input from Supply Chain Manager regarding delivery of components.
1. Oversee all aspects of Production operation utilizing the Production Supervisor to implement the goals and requirements determined by the Production Manager
2. Determine appropriate resource needs (Employees and equipment)
3. Write, review and approve Standard Operating Procedures and conduct training
4. Develop and administer training and qualification programs for Production employees
5. Develop and administer Safety Program
6. Direct Production Planning department and create tools to ensure proper planning
7. Support and work closely with QA Manager regarding NCR’s, change controls, purchase specifications, etc.
8. Provide technical input to Supply Chain Manager for locally sourced components or services
9. Provide troubleshooting for production issues
10. Analyze process and implement 5S and other methodologies to increase efficiency
11. Other duties as required
